Immanuel started in a local funeral home chapel as a small outreach mission church, sponsored by St Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairland, OK. The members voted to build our own church. In February 2002, Immanuel Lutheran Church was voted on as its name and in August, 2003, land was purchased, funds raised, and a new building was raised. In March, 2009, our first service was held in our new church.
We wanted a place for people to go and meditate, so in March, 2013 the Memorial Garden Project was started. Plants and trees were planted, memorial bricks were installed and a gazebo was built. When weather permits, we hold our early morning Easter Service in the gazebo. In January, 2015, we dedicated our new Rodgers Organ. Subsequently, stain glass inserts were added to our windows.
Our congregation has been very blessed to accomplish these goals. We hope to increase our membership, bring more people to the Lord and continue to serve our community in the coming years.
